Where We Walk
My drawing submission “Where We Walk” celebrating ideal public spaces in NYC for the 2025 Center for Architecture’s Wish You Were Here postcard competition.
Earlier this week, I’m grateful to share that my postcard Where We Walk received an Honorable Mention in the Center for Architecture’s Wish You Were Here competition.
The drawing is a meditation on New York’s cobblestoned streets—weathered, rhythmic surfaces that have carried us at our best and our worst. Each crossing feels different, yet together they form a shared ground that holds memory, connection, and presence.
To me, drawing these intersections was a way of tracing collective memory into the everyday ground we cross. I walk these streets when I miss someone, and feel their echoes underfoot.
Thank you to the jury and to Archtober for this recognition. The full announcement can be found here.
