A global museum reframed from a Middle Eastern perspective
As Director of Architectural Projects for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Cara Cragan oversaw the development of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, designed by Gehry Partners. At more than 400,000 square feet, the museum is ten times the size of the Guggenheim New York and reframes global art history from a Middle Eastern perspective. Cara coordinated across curatorial, operations, and design teams in Abu Dhabi and New York to ensure the museum could deliver on its ambitious global vision.
